Angel's geometric shape art

One of the activities linked as part of our home learning task was to explore a geometry website. Check out this post by Angel and you can see what pictures she has created using different geometric shapes.

Hello Guys and welcome back to my blog I have been learning about Geometry on a site. I have made a flower out of some shapes. I like to make flowers out of shapes because it is fun to do. I hope that you guys can make some shapes as well. I am proud that I can make stuff out of shapes. I hope you enjoy looking at my flower I did fell free to comment If you like and help me out If you want you could add more things to comment. this is what i've been up to during lockdown.

these are some muffins we made, the one without icing are blueberry muffins they are made of...
1 1/2  flour
3/4 sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons of baking powder
1/3 vegetable oil
1 large egg
1/2 cup of milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
about 1 cup of frozen blue berries
mix it all together in a bowl then put in a muffin tray


we decorated the vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing and different sprinkles. they were really yum!

This is me eating one. It was delicious and creamy. We made 12 of them and they all got eaten in 2 days!

I also went for a walk to the park and played lawn bowling with my mum, brother and step dad. i was pretty good and won a few times.
My step dad takes us for a scooter ride every morning for some exercise and we have lots of fun.

We also did some cool art paintings with string. you paint the whole thing white and then put different colour paint all over the string and make a zig zag pattern and pull it down and it makes a flower. my favourite is the one of right.

That is my lockdown so far! My mum is going to make me update everyday from now on so watch out on my blog.

You're never too old for a bear hunt!

You may have heard that lots of people have been joining in on a community bear hunt by putting a toy bear in their window based on the book '. This is a really sweet way of adding a bit of fun for children walking around the neighbourhood with the idea that they can see how many bears they can spot. Are you doing this at your house? Have you spotted any bears when you have been out for a walk? Even as an adult I have loved spotting bears in people's windows. I haven't done this at our house because no one can see our house from the road but I loved this is one I spotted today on our walk.

Mac and Mrs Mclachlan in lockdown

I have been really lucky to be able to spend so much time with my son Mac and my husband during the lockdown. Yesterday and today have been so lovely and warm so Mac and I got to spend some time outside. Yesterday I let Mac play with the hose and some buckets. He loves water and I know this is one of his favourite thing to do when he's in care. Every day Mac, our dog Pikelet and I go for a walk a feed the chickens and go rabbit spotting! We have lots of wild rabbits living around our place and the empty block of land next door. They are too scared of us to let us get to close but it is fun to try and spot them before they run off. Hello from Mrs Mclachlan's bubble

Hi everyone, I really hope that you are all well and keeping safe in your bubble. This week I have been using Google Hangouts to have video meetings with Mr Roberts and the other teachers from HPS. We have been working really hard to come up with ways to support your learning while we have to stay home. I am really excited to give distance learning a go especially because I miss you all and I think this will be a fun way to make sure we are all learning together.

This week I will be giving your parents/caregivers a phone call to see how you all are and to let you know how we are going to be carrying on our learning in Room 11. In the meantime make sure you are checking your email and the class site.

Our backpack art work all about us

Kumusta and welcome to our first blog post of 2020. In Room 11 we have been doing backpack art to share information about us. We got a blank picture of a backpack then we had a list of suggestions about what to decorate our backpacks with. We started sketching our self-portraits and then added drawings and words to tell others about ourselves. Here are some of our art work.
